Campionia successfully organized a football camp in Wolverhampton, England, from April 9th to 16th, aimed at providing talented young Bulgarian footballers with a high-level European football experience. The camp focused on children born in 2009, 2010, and 2011.
The camp’s mission was to select and provide an opportunity for Bulgaria’s most promising young players to compete against top-tier English academy teams. The children participated in matches against Aston Villa, Wolverhampton and Birmingham academy teams. The training sessions, led by Aleksandar Zahariev, emphasized the high-tempo, dynamic style of English football, and included tactical and English language lessons, as well as an exploration of the Wolverhampton academy facilities.
The selection process was rigorous, ensuring that only players of sufficient skill and dedication were chosen. The camp aimed to expose the children to a professional football environment, enhance their skills, and inspire them to pursue their football dreams.
The children stayed at Tettenhall College, and the camp included meals, training, matches, and transportation within England. The event was designed to provide a comprehensive football experience, offering the children a chance to benchmark their skills against their English peers and to understand the demands of high-level football.
