As most of you already know, at the beginning of the year, FIFA announced significant changes related to the licensing of football agents worldwide. To continue practicing as an agent or agency today, it’s necessary to obtain a license directly from FIFA, rather than through the local federation as before.
We at Campionia, as the number 1 management agency in Bulgaria when it comes to working with young footballers, now have a license from FIFA, after Georgi Zahariev successfully passed the very first exam held in April. The interesting thing here is that if an agent wants to work with players under the age of 18, it is mandatory to take an additional course and successfully pass an exam on the specifics of working with children.
At the beginning of the week, Georgi Zahariev completed the specialized FIFA course for working with underage footballers and subsequently passed the exam. Thus, Campionia is currently one of the few management agencies in Bulgaria that have the right to work with and represent underage footballers. According to our information as of today, 13.10.2023, we are even the only ones in Bulgaria.
That’s not the important thing – probably others will follow us and get a certificate from FIFA. The point is that from now on, all parents and competitors must be extremely careful when it comes to choosing a manager. All information about licenses and certificates for working with underage footballers can be found on the FIFA website. There you can type in the name of a person and see if he is really an agent and whether he has the right to work with underage footballers.
This FIFA certification reinforces Campionia’s position as the number one youth football platform in Bulgaria, not just for representation, but for our comprehensive 360-degree player development. We are dedicated to nurturing young talent, guiding their careers in football, and providing unparalleled player care, ensuring that the next generation of Bulgarian football stars have the support and expertise they need to reach their full potential.
